What You Are Looking For Is Already Within You

We spend such a great part of our life searching for answers and wanting to improve what we already have in life.
But the truth is that all the qualities, inherent knowledge and wisdom is already within us. All we need to do is to unlock the key to our greatness which will reveal all the answers we are looking for.
On your journey, you may feel that you are constantly searching for enlightenment and truth. You may be looking for proof that you are on the right path or signs that you are living in a truthful and compassionate way.
You will feel doubts and fear. Despair at never seeming to reach your goals or achieve the level of love and compassion you know you could be capable of.
Sit for a while. Take time out.
When the going gets rough, it's a sign that you are being given a challenge and that it is down to you to find the solution. You will know that the answer doesn’t lie in the advice of other people - even this piece of writing you're reading is not the answer or even part of the question because all it can ever be is a guide and a prompt and an encouragement to you to be the best that you can be.
There are no simple solutions. There are no quick fixes or escape hatches or short cuts.
You are already on your journey and somehow you need to work out exactly what it is that you're looking for and what your vision actually means to you. Consider for a moment of those feelings you get when meditating, or sitting in a thoughtful way in a quiet place.
Remember the infinite peace that floods through you? And remember the sound of that still voice confirming the truths in your experience? All that grief, and despair, the hopelessness or the confusion has answers and remedies. Not in a book, or a magical symbol, nor even in a counsellor's care.
The answers you need are right inside you all the time. You just don't know it yet.
And joy is there already too, despite your having been seeking it for so long. As is peace in your life and your soul.
They're all there, if only you can learn to recognise them and to live them. So trying to back out from a journey or looking for the easy way to the horizon will always be impossible - you will always be on a journey because you will always be looking for answers.
If you can always remember that the answers you are looking for have been there all the time, and if you can learn to tap into that wealth of solutions, you will achieved a greater knowledge of yourself than any other person could have prepared you for. So your journey to find the answers has ended, because you only have to take the time to uncover those answers and apply them to your life.
