Even if you are not aware of how your belief system affects your success, it does just as well.Achieving success has nothing to do with your background or past; it has to do with knowing how to apply the correct principles that support your success. Change the things that are stopping you from achieving success and you can start with nothing and turn it into something huge.The wealthy understand what it takes to create financial freedom and are committed to doing whatever they need to do in order to achieve it.
They understand that achieving financial freedom doesn't only require doing the right things, but thinking the right things. In short, achieving success and financial freedom requires a commitment to personal development.In this seven-part series, you will learn everything you need to know about the success principles and how to apply them to your life to build success and financial freedom.
I'll take you step-by-step through the building blocks and provide easy to understand examples for applying the success principles to your life.Time is valuable, so let's get started!Beginning with the Destination in Mind Before you can take one step forward, you must first know where you're going. Let's use driving a car as an example.
When you drive your car, you usually have a Point A (starting point) and a Point B (destination) in mind. Even if you've never driven to a specific destination before, you can still get there because the destination can be identified on a map or by GPS system.It doesn't matter where you start from because once you identify the destination, you will know what direction to go in.
Essentially, it makes no difference whether you need to travel 10, 100 or 1000 miles - eventually you will get there if you keep heading in the right direction - the distance is irrelevant.This is the same principle behind goal achievement. In order to get somewhere other than where you are, you need to identify where you want to go.
In other words, what are your goals - what is it that you really want? More money? Bigger house? Work less? More time with family? Improved health? Start a charitable organization? Take limits, boundaries or the "impossible" out of the picture for the moment and get down to the nitty-gritty - what do you really want to achieve? If you could create your ideal life, what would it look like?Life isn't about going through the motions of day-to-day life; paying bills, going to bed exhausted, hating your job and waking up the next day to do it all over again. Life is about achieving goals, feeling good, living your potential and creating the kind of life you love to wake up to every morning.Living the dream life isn't something that just happens to other people.
There is nothing they have that you don't, but they are using something that you're not - yet.Grab a notebook or piece of paper and make a list of the things that you really want. The number of goals is insignificant, but it is important that they mean something to you.
The more desire that is attached to a goal, the more powerful it becomes. Have you ever achieved something only to please someone else? It doesn't feel the same as doing something you really want to do because there's no desire behind it.When you're done with your list, go back and circle the top 3 goals - the ones that carry the most desire.
Write those 3 goals on a separate piece of paper and hang it where you will see it several times throughout the day. Put copies in several rooms, on the refrigerator, in your car, and in your wallet or purse.This exercise is important because the mind works much like a GPS system.
When you identify your goals, you are giving your mind the destination point and it can then lead you to them. It will have a Point A (where you are) and a Point B (where you want to go) and will map out your journey just like a GPS system.When you identify the destination (goal) then your mind can map it out and show you how to get there.Look for part 2 next week.
