What many women may or may not know is when you’re a young woman, breast cancer is devastating. It’s a whole different disease than the average woman who’s maybe 65 and gets it, and maybe dies of other causes.
When you’re 25, the mortality rate is extremely high. I was really facing a battle for my life.
I knew before that that I wanted to do a nutrition, and wellness, and functional medicine. But this just catapulted me to a whole new level because here, it was my health and I became the patient.
All the sudden, I was fighting for my life. I chose, because of the aggressiveness of the tumor, to do all the conventional radiation, chemotherapy.
I had multiple surgeries. But what I did to recover after all of that toxic therapy, which was essential for my living was to do nutrition.
