The hallmark of a popular blog is steady traffic, but don't become discouraged if your blog is not there yet. To attain the perception of "expert" status in your niche, the construction of successful blogs is a requirement. You will have more success in selling your products and services, once you have proven credibility. No matter how you monetize your site, you need a lot of subscribers to make it a success. If you have Google AdSense on your blog, you should know that you will get a lot of clicks, but to repeatedly see the numbers rise in your favor, you need a following of people who will visit your blog on a daily basis. Successful blogs all have this base of subscribers. A great deal of traffic is necessary for a blog to be successful, as I mentioned above. Without a lot of traffic, your blog is dead in the water, this is the importance of traffic. You must have a lot of traffic, to survive in the internet marketing world, its marketing 101. You can get traffic by many different means, however only a few are worth your time and effort. Beginners would be well advised to stick to thte free methods, as you may not have a lot of cash to spend on advertising. Of the free methods, video marketing is one of the preferred avenues. There are several high traffic video sites, such as YouTube, Metacafe and Google Video, to which you can upload your 3 - 5 minute home made videos. Sites such as YouTube, Metacafe, and Google Video are all popular sites and get a lot of traffic to them on a daily basis. The high traffic that these sites receive on a daily basis, will likely benefit you. Traffic can also be generated by marketing to the article directories. Simply create some 300-500 word articles, and then upload them to the top free article directories.
