The importance of website design when it comes to ranking a dentist website in the search engines is very important.

You probably don’t think about much more than that. However, your website’s design is extremely important for a variety of reasons.  Your website is your brand, and it’s often the first thing a potential dental patient sees before committing to becoming a patient.
It also serves several important roles in the marketability of your dental practice and in your other advertising efforts. Your website’s design is important for your search engine optimization (SEO) efforts, as well.
The design of your website can help increase your website’s SEO. For instance, if your website is optimized properly, this can mean your website and landing pages will often appear on the first page of Google’s search engine results pages.
One of the ways to optimize your website is to use keywords on your website that are relevant to those searching for a dental provider. You want to make sure to use keywords that a potential dental customer would use to find your site.
For example, you could ensure your site uses the words “New York dentist free exams.”  That’s just one example, but you get the idea. When you optimize your website’s content using relevant keywords, this increases the likelihood that your website will appear in a potential dental customer’s search results.
Another way that your website’s design can affect SEO is because of something called bounce rate. Bounce rate is a score given to your site based on how fast site visitors “bounce” or leave your site.
If visitors are landing on your site and leaving quickly, this can lead to a poor bounce rate. However, if your website is well designed and user friendly, visitors will likely stay longer, giving your website a better bounce rate.
Google does take bounce rate into consideration when ranking your website. The better (lower) your bounce rate, the better chance your dental website has of making it to the top of page one.
Your website should be more than just a picture of your dental practice building and some contact information. You want your website to persuade potential customers that you’re the dentist they’re looking for—the one they can trust.
The more customers you convert through your website, the more your practice will grow. At the end of the day, you just want your dental website to work for you.
Your website could get to the point where it converts leads into customers without your even trying. However, you should know that web design for dentists could be challenging.
There are a lot of dentists out there who also want their websites to make it to the top of page one on Google’s search results.  You might not have the time or energy to put into learning about SEO, but you can work with a company that specializes in web design and SEO.
