There are so many things about SEO that people need to know and do to get the best results.
However, there are a couple of things that are antiquated and really not worthwhile anymore. If you want to make sure that you are going to get the most out of SEO or search engine optimization, you need to know what is effective and what isn't effective anymore.
These are the old school practices that aren't any longer effective and that you should not do anymore. This will ensure that you are going to have more success with SEO and that your results will be better and you will rank higher if you lose these SEO habits.
Keyword stuffing Most people believe that the more keywords you are using in one article, or content, the more clicks and reads you are going to get. However, as any SEO professional will now tell you, this isn't the truth.
In fact, this isn't recommended at all anymore. The rules have changed and now keyword stuffing isn't allowed on search engines anymore.
Now, you need to be careful where and how you are adding your keywords. Keyword stuffing results in lower results and rankings.
Meaning that you are actually just wasting money in paying for search engine optimization. Remember that less is more.
More than one keyword in the title Another thing that isn't being used anymore is where people are adding more than one keyword in the title. They are trying to add as many titles as possible to make the results in search engines better.
However, this means that the title isn't going to be interesting and might even sound strange. This especially problematic for those operating online stores, where ineffective e-commerce optimization techniques can be the difference between a potential customer clicking on your link, or avoiding it altogether.
The results are that even more people will not use the result. Meaning, less traffic instead of more.
One keyword is necessary and with an interesting title. Use the best and most relevant keyword in the title.
Creating content for each minor keyword alteration As any SEO specialist will tell you, this is something that can become boring. There is more than one page on your site.
But, each page is meaningless and devoted to the same topic. But, just with another keyword variation.
This is really not the way to go. Especially on blogs.
Make sure that you keep your pages interesting, and that if you have similar keywords, that the titles and topics are different and unique from each other. Making different topics unique will ensure an interesting website that people want to read.
Quantity over quality People believed that the more articles you have on search engines, the better the results are going to be. And, in the past this was true.
However, this isn't the truth anymore. Instead of concentrating on quantity, you should start focusing on quality.
Making sure that what you are writing is interesting and that the facts are the truth. Quality is a lot more important than quantity.
Use your resources for writing higher quality articles, rather than trying to write as many as possible. Not writing relevant articles about keyword This is more of a mistake that people are making than something that doesn't work anymore.
You need to make sure that you are staying on topic when you are writing about your keyword. Don't have one keyword, but writing about something completely different.
Each of the SEO practices discussed in this article aren't effective anymore. Something that might have worked a couple of years back, but it doesn't really work anymore.
It is recommended that you are staying with the latest SEO trends and not still writing the old school ones that are just a waste of money. This is the only way that you are going to get the best possible results with search engine optimization.
