An artist uses concept art to create a basic framework of a game concept and then uses the framework to develop a full-fledged product. It comprises of sketches created for a certain concept involving models or designs which needs to be represented visually.
  A designer mainly uses it to present visuals of his ideas – for example, weapons, landscapes, vehicles.  Basically, everything is designed before it goes into the game – these designs represent the look and feel of the game.
