Live events are wonderful places to meet and greet people from all over the world. Mlm marketing is not about the war of numbers, but how to qualify those who you do meet and align with the person’s needs.
Many times, a networking pro may feel intimidated by the sheer volume of prospects or the authority that is at such events. Everyone started off at the lowest rung on the ladder at some point.
However, there is one secret weapon that you may be better at than anyone else. This secret weapon doesn’t cost money, but it does cost time.
It is listening, not passive listening, but a fully engaged and active listening that turns people into leads and joining your downline. Most people cannot say they are active listeners, but those who do listen do it very well.
This is an art that MLM marketing doesn’t teach very well unless your mentor is totally old school. Active listening is a process that pushes all distractions aside and keeps your mouth closed while the person is speaking.
This doesn’t mean that you should not say something, it does mean not to focus on your next comment though. While at home, working at your MLM marketing, it may be difficult to listen to people.
However, there is good news for you. You can still practice with your loved ones, children, neighbors and friends that come over.
It is a process of allowing what they said to sink in and you process it to its fullest value. This means clearing out the clutter in the mind and allowing them to say what they need to say.
At natural pauses, you can ask questions or show support for whoever is speaking. People like talking, and it can be very difficult to keep one’s mouth zipped without interjecting.
It is important, because you may miss something that is critical to how that person is feeling. This also applies to your prospects, they are not cash machines, but human beings that require attention.
