At present, where technology is controlling our life, we cannot forget the driving force between all the technological gadgets we use.

Hence, electricians too become part of our lives, from the maintenance of such connections to fixing power cuts; they are the ones responsible for the supply of electricity all over. And, due to these reasons only, electricians are too much in demand these days.
Let us delve a little deeper into this. Why is There So Much Demand for Electricians? As we discussed the increasing dependency of humans on electricity and electronically generated gadgets, the need for an expert electrician is bound to increase.
Hence, more jobs are created for them, as well. When we look around ourselves, we have all these gadgets, household systems that require proper installation with all the wiring set up and otherwise also for a device to work correctly; a trained electrician is needed.
Moreover, with a macro-level say in a commercial building, more than one electrician is required, hence increasing their demand.  According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S Department of Labor employment of electricians is projected to increase by 10% from 2010 to 2020, which means the demand of 74100 more electricians by 2028.  In this time of the pandemic, job opportunities, especially in these technical fields, have dropped. Still, when the economy was healthy, their demand was high, and the one with the right qualification and skills had good jobs.
Also during these times, much older electricians have found alternative work creating more space for freshers. Also, as we discussed earlier, every building has electric power; this new culture of commercial buildings will give a boom to job opportunities for electricians.
New And Different Work With frequent experiments in technology and power generation, alternatives in solar or wind will give more challenges to electricians. With new ways of performing traditional duties like installation or wiring, etc., greater responsibilities wait for them, but here is where their skills will be put to the test.
Other Things We Need To Know Electricians do require specific qualifications like a diploma or something equivalent. The state is necessary to do proper licensing before an electrician starts practising, the process of which may vary State to State but every state should definitely lookout for some essential skills that electricians should know.
These skills include consumer behaviour, strong critical thinking or troubleshooting or any other which state may find apt. But it has its own challenges too, because of the people becoming more aware of the growing needs of these professionals, a large number of people apply for a handful of opportunities provided to them.
But making it out amidst this competition is worth it because you end up earning $50000 for starters and this goes up till as much as $83000. And yes, electricians are mostly self-employed too, which gives them creative freedom of setting up their business accordingly and set their pace and sense of working.
All we can say right now is that these technicians and the ones seeking jobs might have faced hardships due to this pandemic times or some might have even lost their jobs. Still, with the world moving onto better things, days are defiantly brighter ahead for them as well and as we discussed the scope in their field, clearly telling that their service are inevitable in the present era where the whole world is highly dependent on electricity.
