If you don't really want to spend a lot of money on gardening tools, I suggest you just get what you really want to use.
You may be surprised how many great tools are out there that you might never have thought about using. We are in a gardening world now! When I purchased my first top garden, I bought a piece of equipment that gave me a big hint as to what would make the difference in my success.
I was not entirely sure what this new tool was going to be, but I figured I could at least buy something I liked and that I knew how to use. So I sat down and got a good general idea of what I was looking for.
The thing I decided on was the "custom garden jig". At the time, there were only a few people who used this item and it was very expensive to use it myself, so it just wasn't something I could see myself buying.
So now, ten years later, I use my jig regularly to help me with all of my garden projects. It has transformed my gardening from a bit of a chore into a delightful hobby.
Of course, the jig isn't the only tool I use. There are also some great gardening tools out there.
They aren't a must have; a well-designed garden stand, a stonemason's stone, a concrete pour, some tacky scrapers, a nice deck of cards, a good set of water filters, maybe even a hand held radio to listen to gardening shows...you get the picture. But if you are new to gardening and don't want to end up using a set of tools you can't use, you will want to get a good variety of tools.
In other words, if you buy a water filter to fix a leak in your fence, you want to know how to use it and where to buy it. This may seem like a minor thing, but we all know that people can die from their negligence.
So a good idea is to start off with a selection of tools that you enjoy using and try to change your purchasing habits from there. Maybe, a landscaping tool you love for your vegetable garden, a large screwdriver, a metal chisel for landscaping, a very strong shovel for digging holes for the garden.
Try different things with these tools. After you have experimented with new tools, you will find that you like them even better.
Then you will find that you will not need another one of these kinds of gardening tools. You will have to decide what you really like to use for your gardening tools.
You may have found that you really like digging holes, and when you get a set of chisels, you can't stop digging holes. Perhaps you will need some landscape tools for your garden.
As you start getting your landscape tools, make sure you try out each one of them until you find the right tool for the job. You might want to purchase a little variety of garden tools.
If you need a lot of ones, and you have many garden tools, you will be glad to have many kinds of tools. This way you won't become bored with one particular style or shape of the tool, and you can change to something else if you find you don't like it.
Whether you start off with a local community center, or a community college, the best way to learn how to grow a top garden is to experiment with your own garden tools. Start off small, and then you can get bigger and better tools, all the while learning about gardening.
