One week into lockdown and large proportion of firms started practising layoffs. These layoffs are predicted to increase even after the lockdown ends.
Large number of firms by now have already found alternatives to incorporate technology for daily operations. Inefficient staffs and ineffective roles would be removed.
Unemployment rate would surge after this pandemic. People have already started losing their jobs as the huge corporations and small business houses cannot afford to sustain them.
There is no denying to the fact that the recruitment industry would see a negative slope in hiring of employees after lockdown. For the long time ahead, till the firms recover, inefficient or at times even efficient employees would be removed and unnecessary job roles would be cut off the charts.
